The Radio Magazines

The Radio Magazines formed during the early Indian summers of 2022, drawing on a mix of influences to create a beat in the city. The band initially featured Varun Panayam (co-founder) on piano and vocals, Rohan John Varghese (co-founder) also on vocals, Jeremie Dsouza on guitar, Kevin Varghese on bass, Samarth Pahuja on drums, and Yadhu VK on guitars. Marc Andre, adding depth to vocals alongside Rohan, joined as core member over time. Music takes shape in unexpected spaces, blending Samarth’s Porcupine Tree-inspired finesse on cymbals, Jeremie’s guitar riffs influenced by Slash with shades in Knopfler, Yadhu’s layers drawing from the psychedelic movement of the ’60s, Kevin’s eclectic classical piano instincts crafting basslines with Marc and Rohan’s versatile vocal soundscapes. Perfomed at college fests to gigs as the Alterfate Festival, making connections with every set delivered. Now passionately, working on our debut album – a reflection of our internal monologues of introspection.
